Honor: CAC members select (in a closed ballot) one Officer or Team of Officers nominated by the Mason Police District Commander for meritorious contributions to public safety or community service over the previous three months. CAC also participates in the selection of the Mason Police District Officer of the Year.

Participate: At each CAC meeting business and community leaders and residents bring forward public safety issues or situations which may need special attention by the Mason Police District.
Discuss: In an informal setting meet with the Mason Police District Commander to discuss how the Mason Police District can improve its service to you and your community.

Commissioned in 2011 by the members of the Mason Police District CAC and presented to the Mason District Station police officers, commanders and staff in appreciation of their dedicated service, quiet competence and unheralded actions which keep the citizens of Fairfax County safe, secure and protected.
Artist John Kiernan, a Fairfax County police officer for 15 years, with service in the Mason District Station for four years.
